Armageddon: Inferno #1 was released in April 1992.

This issue is a significant "reconstruction" of the DC Universe. While the previous Armageddon 2001 event was about a dystopian future, Inferno is about fixing the present and reclaiming lost history.

The story centers on Waverider, who is still reeling from the failure to stop Monarch in the previous year's crossover. He discovers that an ancient, chaotic force known as Abraxis is using "Seeds of Doom" to overwrite reality.
